Exercising is so much easier with a friend.
A good friend and I have decided to start a walking routine. We are going to walk mid morning everyday around a local park. I'm not sure exactly the mileage yet, I'll add that later.
I'm hoping that this routine is going to help me in other ways as well. My motivation level goes up more when I get out and go to town early. I have more energy and motivation for the rest of the day. I'm also going to make myself clean the house prior to leaving for our walk so that I can come home to a fresh clean house and have nothing but free time after our walk. To take my kiddo to the river, the park, shopping, whatever we feel like doing. Hopefully this will help me since I'm not always the best at keeping my house picked up. (There really is nothing worse then getting unannounced company and not having your house picked up.
So beyond that, I'm thinking that I may need to add some more exercise outside of walking into my routine. I have a work out video that I may break out that includes some Cardio, Yoga, and Pilates. I know that walking itself is going to help tremendously, especially doing it everyday, but I want to make sure that I give myself the best opportunities as possible to get back to a healthy me.
On top of this, I'm going to be starting the
South Beach Diet again. Of all the diets I've ever tried this one has given me the most results (about 15 lbs lost). On top of that, I have been doing research and it seems that other PCOS sufferers have also benefited from the South Beach Diet. The concept of low carb is not only a "heart healthy" diet, it benefits PCOS sufferers because low-carb diets lower circulating insulin, and since your body tends to be insulin resistant when you have PCOS this helps out a lot.
So we shall see how these new changes will affect me. Good, bad, or ugly I'm here to share.
