Feeling a bit peckish!?

So I received a meal plan from a friend the other day showing what I should and shouldn't eat when trying to lose weight. Let me just begin by saying that I believe myself to be an average human being. I don't live to eat or just eat to live. I enjoy food but don't have to be eating all the time. HOWEVER, I do like variety and I do like my food to taste good. So here we go, the meal plan.

Things you should eat

v Meats (2-3 servings daily) (Grilled or Broiled)

Ø ½ Chicken Breast

Ø Tuna (in water)

Ø Turkey

Ø Lean cuts of beef (1-2 servings per WEEK)

This makes things a WHOLE lot more complicated. I don't have the time, patients, or willpower for complicated. Not to mention the $$ that it requires to go all natural. I realize that this would probably work, but is anyone else feeling a bit peckish just from reading this?! I know I am. This isn't enough variety to keep my tastebuds and my body healthy.

So this is where I have to say THANK YOU PLEXUS! For keeping my body in check while my willpower sways. I don't eat like I should, obviously. It's part of what got me to where I am in the first place. However, Plexus has been a tremendous help with keeping me in check. I'm not constantly snacking and hungry. I become full more quickly (making my portion sizes smaller), and I am actually craving healthy options. I crave the plain greek yogurt with frozen blueberries. I want water over anything else. A baked meal with Chicken sounds fantastic to me! Making "dieting" a whole lot easier. 

That's, of course, not to say that I don't eat unhealthy foods too. I do, at least once a week if not more. However, Plexus must be taking care of that too because 3 weeks, 3.8 lbs, and 4 lost inches later, SOMETHING is working! :D

Rise and shine, it's gym time!

So I am feeling the Monday blahs today. Ive learned no sleeping in for me on the weekends. Totally felt it this morning. If it wasn't for my supportive husband I would have felt like I had totally failed today.

1 hr on weights and only 15 min on the Arc Trainer™. 15 freaking minutes!

But my husband reminded me that I will have peaks and valleys and just be proud that I am still continually going.  So true!

Happier note, and MAJOR motivation...

I've lost weight!

I'm down to 182.2 and down 2 inches around my waist!!! Yay!!!

So that means I am down 2.8 lbs all together and 2.4 lbs just since Thursday. Talk about pride!

This means it is possible. No matter how long it takes, I know I will be healthier and skinnier again! It's also overwhelming to know that I am making head way and well on my way to taking my body back from PCOS!

Dancing Queen...

Hello all you beautiful people! 

So gym day was alright today. By myself again, but I struggled today. I was so excited about my 40 min that I reached yesterday but today could barely get to 30. 

I struggled bad, and I know why...I forgot my PLEXUS!

Some of you may be doubting me, and doubt away but this is two days now that I have forgotten my plexus drink and accelerator in the morning before I leave and I have struggled to push myself at the gym. I slept good last night but didn't get in as many hours as I would have liked to, so I woke up feeling groggy. I wanted to skip the gym this morning all together since I have to go back this afternoon with a friend, but I didn't want to lose out on my routine. It took all I had to PUSH to 30 min. I needed my PLEXUS!

I know that I have talked a little about Plexus in some of my other post but I'm going to take this opportunity to talk about it a little more and share with you why I love it so much.

I've only been on Plexus for about 2 weeks now and I can't say enough about how much this product has impacted me already. Of course I don't have some huge weight loss testimony to share already or anything like that, but what I can share is how I feel.

I HAVE ENERGY!! 

For anyone that knows me, they know what a big deal this is. I complain all the time about being so tired, unmotivated, and feeling lazy because my body just doesn't want to get up and go. I had no explanation for it but I was just tired. A lot! Everything around me was suffering. My house, my marriage, and most importantly my daughter. I didn't have the time or energy to play with her like I should because I was so busy trying to catch up on the things I didn't have the energy to do. Dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, grocery shopping. I did them, but not as much as I should, and at the cost of my daughters time. Even when I did have a free moment all I wanted to do was sit down instead of play.

Plexus has changed that!

2 nights ago I spent the evening dancing in my living room with my daughter. This after a full day of doing dishes, laundry, cooking, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the bathroom. It was amazing. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her giggle at Mommy's funny dance moves and smile as she showed me her own. I've been missing out, but no more!

It's true, I started Plexus to lose weight. I don't care if I never lose a pound, the gift Plexus has already given me in such a short time is beyond words, worth the cost, and I will forever be a customer.

Push and weigh-in.

So I waI s the I'manger at the gym again today. Workout partner haI've  to work (boo!I'm So I made the commitment to make it worth my while. I started out at 30 min. With 2 min. left I pushed it up 5 more. Then at 2 min. left I pushed it up by 5 again. I was dying but I made it. :D

40 min. and 454 calories. Only 20 more minutes and I'll have reached my first goal of 1 hr on the Arc Trainer!! Goodbye calories, Goodbye lbs. Hello smaller, healthier me!

So, I said today is weigh-in day. Yippy... :/

So, drum roll........

I've lost 1lb.

I'm at 184.2. 

Not a drastic change but it's something and i'm beyond proud that I've made it this far without giving up. I still get up in the morning.and go, and WANT to go! 

Dance your booty off!

Okay, so today was like day 10 or so of working out in the gym. I haven't seen any lbs lost yet, however, I have seen a difference in the way my clothes are fitting and in the way I feel. Of course, the way I feel is chalked up to Plexus because when I forget it, working out becomes 10x harder. 

So, Tuesday I had to workout by myself since my workout partner was unable to make it. Since I was there by myself I decided to push myself even harder so that I wouldn't be tempted to slack off just because I could. Well it worked! I ended up doing 30 min on the Arc Trainer which is double the time I had done my previous time. I felt like I was going to puke but I burned nearly 400 calories! Yay Me!

My goal is an hour + on the Arc. It'll be tough but provide the biggest pay off.

So, since I have all this new found energy I'm finding myself becoming a tad addicted to exercising. So, to feed my addiction my daughter and I danced in our living room tonight. Crazy dance, imitation dance, and this...

 

OMG! This...in a previous video of this same dance Jessica Byrge says "this is going to make you want to cut your legs off". She's right! My legs were burning so bad at the end of this I thought they were going to just fall off! She is awesome, go check out her videos Dance Fitness with Jessica. You won't regret it!

Tomorrow is Weigh in day. **Fingers Crossed** I'm down something, anything!

I'm Baaaaack!

It's been 2 years since I first started this blog and I wish I could share some drastic change in my weight, but alas I can not. Although not as heavy as I was when I started this blog I'm still the same, overweight girl that so bravely shared her story and pictures all over the internet.

However, although my weight may not have changed (yet), there have been some changes in my life. I recently joined the Gym, and around the same time joined the fantastic world of Plexus. In fact, I believe in it so much that I'm not only a customer but an ambassador as well.

So with the new changes in my life I see light at the end of the tunnel and I wanted to share. My PCOS battle has been a difficult one for me, and I continue to battle it every day. So please, share with me in my struggles and triumphs as I reach for my goal!
